Break-even after fees
Know the price that gets your money back.
How it works
Three steps, no guesswork.
- 1
Your real cost
Every buy is recorded with its brokerage and levies, so your cost is what you actually paid.
- 2
The sale's fees too
Selling has its own fees. The break-even price is high enough to cover them as well.
- 3
Exact, not estimated
We test each price step with the real fee rules, so the price shown is the lowest one that works.
Good to know
- 125 MTN Ghana shares bought at GHS 6.50 break even at GHS 6.80, a 4.6% rise.
- A second break-even counts the dividends you've received.
- Recalculated every time you buy, sell or edit a trade.
Questions
About break-even after fees
Why is my break-even above what I paid?
Because selling has fees too. To get back exactly what you paid, the sale must also pay its own brokerage and levies.
Does it use average cost?
Yes. Partial sales take out cost in proportion, so the break-even for what you still hold stays accurate.
