How it works

What is the buy-back price?

The highest price at which the money from a sale buys back the same number of shares, after the selling fees and the buying fees. Above it, the same money buys fewer shares.

Why isn't it just the selling price?

Both trades have fees. Selling 125 shares at GHS 8.16 leaves GHS 997.05; buying 125 back costs no more than that only at GHS 7.80 or lower, with GHS 44.88 in fees across the two trades.

Is this a suggestion to sell and buy back?

No. It's arithmetic on fees. It doesn't predict prices, and prices may never reach a level you pick. Decisions to buy or sell are yours.
